I was 7 years old when I started composing, but I was 11 when I named myself VTM.

Well,hopefully for a while. I'm always thinking of new ideas,and composing. I really enjoy what I do,and I hope to not only work as just an artist,but I hope to work as a producer for other musicians aswell(and even open my own label someday.)

lol,That's really hard. Right now, I think my favorite happens to be "And I"

Kaotic Worlds? Sure, Well. It was a group I tried to start up with a couple of friends. Unfortunatly,Things didn't work out in the group, so the group was stopped before it started really.

### July 2004 Interview

**Q: So Nessa, since we last talked in February 2004, how many NEW songs/demos have you created?**
There are so many, it's hard to count. But, I have a total of 695 songs as of today.

**Q: Are you currently working anywhere, or looking to work somewhere?**
Looking into working somewhere,at the moment.

**Q: I last asked you what your all time favorite song was, is it still the same "I cant stop raving"?**
Yep,indeed it is.

**Q: This is my last question and Ill let you go make more music. Are you working on a new album? How many song(s) are DONE so far and is there a title?**
Yes, I'm working on a new album. It'll be my 32nd album. There are currently 4 songs finished. The title isn't for sure yet.

## Archive Recovery History

Of VTM's 695 original compositions, we have recovered 86 tracks with audio, documented 157 unique song titles total, and preserved 18 songs with complete lyrics. The search continues for the remaining tracks.

MySpace's 2018 server migration deleted every file uploaded before 2016, including hers. Her music survived because people kept copies on purpose: on burned CDs, on a USB drive filled in 2007, and in a folder carried from computer to computer for twenty years.

### March 2026

Amanda Miller sent over 30 MP3 files from her personal collection, making this the largest single addition to the archive. 25 of them were tracks we'd never recovered before, and she also had a higher-quality copy of "You Will Be" that replaced our old 96kbps version. Titles we'd been searching for like "Day and Night," "Familiar Feelings," "Tempest," and "The Dance of the Sword" are finally here, along with tracks we didn't even know existed like "Make It Happen." She also had remixes we'd never heard: "The Way (Graceful Remix)," "To the Edge (Pitch Mix)," and "Feel the Heat (Stress Mix)." The archive grew from 63 to 86 distinct recovered tracks.

### February 2026

John Alan Fessel has continued to share more of Vanessa's music from his personal archives. He sent along a demo of "I Wish" and an untitled track labeled "Track 15," taken straight from a CD of her music he burned almost 20 years ago. John described Track 15's upbeat and fun nature, noting how "the synths blend as they transition into each other." Additionally, Todd has been listening through the archive and transcribing lyrics by ear.

### January 2026

After years of searching for others who might have preserved Vanessa's music, we connected with Amanda Miller, a close friend who had kept some of her tracks all this time. "I loved her music," Amanda shared. "When I need a good pick-me-up, I still play it on repeat." "Time Goes By" has been added to the archive.

We also connected with John Alan Fessel, a lyricist and close friend who collaborated with Vanessa on several songs. John has contributed seven recovered tracks: "I'll Dream Tonight," "Just Because," "Turn to Me," "Fairylike," "No Talent," "Unwriter's Block," and "Ballad of An Angry Snowman," along with lyrics for two of them. He shared that she had great fun making "Ballad of An Angry Snowman," playing around with electric guitar loops in FL Studio. He described "Fairylike" as having a striking "juxtaposition of the mood, tempo and softness against some of the sharp sounds," and "Turn to Me" as "one of her very best creations."

The home page now has a Play All Songs button that shuffles the whole archive, and each song opens its own page as it plays, so her lyrics and the notes on a recording arrive along with the music. Each new song settles into place as it arrives rather than cutting straight in. The button beside the track counter in the player turns that on and off at any point, and browsing anywhere on your own leaves the music playing and stops the pages from turning. The player now remembers where you have been, too: skipping back returns to the song you actually just heard rather than whichever track happened to sit beside it in the list, and shuffle works its way through the whole archive before it repeats anything. Tapping a row on the albums page starts that album and opens its page at the same time, and where a song has no recovered artwork, its sleeve carries the album's name in full the way the cover on the home page does.

## About This Archive

This archive is one person's project. I'm Todd Hertzelle. I met Vanessa in the early 2000s on the Bliss Corporation forum, the message board run by the company behind Eiffel 65, where we were both teenagers hunting for new dance music. For years afterward she sent me works in progress: finished songs she meant for an audience, and thirty-second demos she almost certainly didn't. I ran fan sites for her starting in February 2004; their backups survive, and their news logs date some of these demos to the day they were first posted.

The site launched in December 2025 with the 53 tracks I had carried with me, computer to computer, since the 2000s. The rest came back from her friends: John Alan Fessel checked the site against CDs of hers he'd burned almost twenty years earlier and sent every track it was missing, and Amanda Miller, who had filled a USB drive with Vanessa's songs back in 2007 just so something would survive, went and got it when I asked and sent everything over in one afternoon. The working rule is preservation rather than curation. Recordings Vanessa shared or circulated are preserved here whether they're finished tracks, short sketches, or rough demos. Her voice is on some of those takes, and they belong here just as much.

She passed away in August 2007, seventeen days after her twentieth birthday. Her music spent the years since scattered across closets, old hard drives, and websites that no longer exist. Now it's here.
