# VTM Archive · Vanessa The Musician Memorial > A memorial website preserving the recovered music of Vanessa Rose Marcussen Meier (1987–2007), known online as VTM (Vanessa The Musician), nessa1487, and vanessathemusician. She composed over 695 songs by age sixteen, primarily happy hardcore and trance music, sharing her work between 2004 and 2007. This archive contains 86 recovered audio tracks with playable MP3 files. Vanessa was a prolific teenage electronic music producer from Stafford/Fredericksburg, Virginia. She used FL Studio (FruityLoops) and was influenced by Dune, Blumchen, BT, and Eiffel 65. She shared her music on MySpace (myspace.com/vanessathemusician), LiveJournal, and the Bliss Corporation Forum, a community for fans of Italian dance music producers. MySpace's 2018 data migration deleted all pre-2016 uploads, including hers. Her music survived because people kept copies on purpose: the archive's founder carried his own copies from computer to computer for twenty years, one friend filled a USB drive with her songs in 2007 and kept it, and another held onto the CDs he'd burned when they wrote together. The archive launched in December 2025 and holds 86 of her ~695 compositions. Nearly everything her generation of amateur producers uploaded in the 2000s was destroyed when the platforms hosting it shut down or wiped their archives. Her catalogue is one of the few from that scene that survived, and it survived on burned CDs and personal drives, not online. ## Key Facts - **Real name**: Vanessa Rose Marcussen Meier - **Online names**: VTM, Vanessa The Musician, nessa1487, vanessathemusician, Nessa, Nellie, Neller - **Location**: Stafford/Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA - **Born**: August 14, 1987 - **Passed**: August 31, 2007 - **Active years**: 2004–2007 - **Genres**: Happy Hardcore, Trance, Electronic, Dance, Eurobeat, Rave - **Production software**: FL Studio (FruityLoops) - **Total songs composed**: ~695 by age sixteen - **Total albums**: 32 - **Tracks recovered**: 86 audio files - **Tracks with preserved lyrics**: 18 - **Documented song titles (recovered + still searching)**: 157 - **Documented albums (partial or complete)**: 10 - **Albums recovered in full**: 1 ## Content - [Home](https://www.vanessathemusician.com/): Introduction to Vanessa and the archive, featured songs, and a button that shuffles the entire catalog - [Listen](https://www.vanessathemusician.com/listen/): The complete catalog of all 86 recovered tracks with playable audio, sorted by length - Track pages at `/tracks//`, one per recovered song, each with streaming audio, lyrics where they survive, album placement, recovery provenance, and technical detail about the recording.
